We
did well in the breed classes, but the highlights for us were
not in the breed ring.
On day 3, we manned our breed stand at Discover dogs and were
at times inundated with people interested in this wonderful
breed. We took Miss Attitude (Sassy) and Serenity (Tia). They
were constantly handled, stroked ,hugged and photographed
by many. With their eyes focussed on us all the time, they
took all the attention in good spirit and behaved impeccably.
On Day 4 we handed them over to their International junior
Handlers. Sassy to the handsome Jake from Gibraltar, and Tia
to the beautiful Linda from the Netherlands. they only had
1 hour with their handlers before entering the ring with them.
I watched them from a distance, wagging their tails, happy
and well mannered. after the first round , they swopped handlers
and returned to the ring, unphased by the change, they showed
beautifully. then returning to their original juniors, they
were paraded and photographed by the press, and supporters.
The ultimate climax for us , was seeing them enter the main
arena that evening for the International Junior handling finals.
It was tears all round. It had been such a long day for them
yet they gave their all, never faltering, we were so proud
of them.
SO THIS IS FOR "OUR GIRLS", they are a credit to
us, and excellent ambassidors for their breed.
WE LOVE THEM VERY MUCH. XXXXXX
